Question

I’m trying to understand something. In the past I had been told by the moderator on this forum that super star and xfactor abilities ,that effect the same attribute, cannot effect it simultaneously. The abilities don’t stack was my understanding of that. So please help me understand why the new prebuild has truculence, stick em up, and shutdown?! Aside from the block shot boost from the shutdown isn’t it duplicative of trucs and stick em up? Are the abilities more nuanced than we’ve been told or was this just not thought about when making the prebuild?

Hey there. Truculence has increased stability and assistance on hits. You also have a better chance at knocking them down and draining energy. Shutdown increases hitting strength. So, they aren't really stacking the same attributes.&nbsp;

Thanks for the explanation. Could you expand on the difference between a better chance at knocking them down and increased hitting strength? Does the knocking down chance act like a balance debuff to the hit receiver?

A better chance at knocking them down means their likelihood of putting them down on the ice is higher. Increased hitting strength means their hits are harder.

Ok so what effect does a “harder” hit have? The opposing player is moved a further distance as a result? I’m not sure why I’d want to hit someone “harder” if I’m already knocking them down with truculence.&nbsp;

When XFs have similar traits, the highest valued one is used. Shutdown affects other traits as well, but truculence is going to use the physical aspects of them since they are higher.
