Will this finally be the year where we get Player customization in franchise mode? Every madden for about the last decade or so, we’ve been able to edit player ratings, attributes and other things like physical traits and positions. Will we finally be able to get this feature in NHL 25’s offline franchise mode? It’s long overdue.
They can't even give us the basic ability to edit anybody's hair, let alone taking the time to add/ re-add every other option. there's no good reason why we can't fully edit players.

I still don´t understand why they removed it....
because they don't care about the game, and gamers who play offline.
no full presentation, no face scan for half league, no normal editor, players who don't have a photo don't have the ability to set a game face like in 2k, and other things
and it's really funny to see how their poor community manager has to justify themselves by saying that they want to make the game better and are looking forward, not towards NHL 14.
And what they do is remove useful features from the game (for example, presentation, real scoreclock, broadcast), and then after years they slowly return them (scoreclock in this year, roster sharing in 2022, etc.).
ugh, you can only buy this game on sale for $20.
2024 year - the game is worse than they did in 2013

It looks like it's another year of balding/ grey hair'd 18yo elite prospects with horribly fitting names, who should be a center but is forced to play on the wing, all because of some greyed out options that just sit there, teasing franchise mode players for years upon years.
Unfortunately that’s highly unlikely as we’ve been asking for that forever and they definitely would’ve highlighted that feature if they gave it back to us.
more likely that they want us to use the tedious conversation engine to change players position/types. But editing attributes will be completely locked as usual.
While you can't edit some of the stuff wouldn't it be cool to have No helmet? Well guess what....
Can we remove helmets everywhere tho? Because that would make editing hair even more needed lol now we can see how bald/ grey hair'd our generated rookies are.
I’m pretty sure 99% of franchise mode players would want a game worth playing if it meant they locked helmets and unlocked the things we’ve been asking for (that were taken away from us a few years ago)
You'll have to wait until EA does an FRANCHISE mode deep dive.
