NHL 25 WoC Feedback

No balance in eashl clubs. Couldn't have better stats and still lose to bs goals. Compy d man should be even as well you need to do better for everyone. It's rediculous yall cater to the glitching and most bs players and taking fun from others.

Yep. I totally get what you're saying. I would also love to see soft goals reduced. I for sure don't mind them, but they do seem to happen with a higher frequency this year. Obviously, there's just room for improvement in general with goalies. Goalies receive a ton of attention. It's also just a very complex position to replicate perfectly in a video game. So, hopefully, we'll see them behaving better in the future.

On a large enough sample size this is definitely true.  If you're constantly in games where it seems like the other goalie is playing better than yours, it's not an issue with the game, it's an issue with your play.  Like you said, the AI goalies are the same.

The AI goalies are capable of making unreal desperation saves.  They're also capable of letting in the weakest of goals.  For the most part this happens pretty evenly on both sides.  Sometimes it's lopsided one way or the other.  The majority of the time, it's not a huge factor and the better team will still win.  There are games where one goalie seems to let all the squeakers in or makes all the highlight reel saves, and those can be incredibly frustrating.  It happens, but in my experience those games are incredibly rare.

Most of the time when I see a team "dominate" the other team in TOA and shots but still lose it's because that TOA is all moving the puck around the perimeter combined with high-volume but low-danger shots.  Conversely, most games where a goalie gives up a bunch of goals on a low number of shots it's a situation where a team gives up a couple of early goals and starts pressing too hard too early which just gives their opponents better opportunities for more goals and things just snowball.

Both sides have the same goalie. If yours is letting in more than your opponents, most likely it's an issue with your defense. In no way am I saying goalies are perfect. They obviously need to be better. However, both sides have the same exact AI goalie. One is not better than the other. It comes down to how each team is defending.

I don't know the division I think division 6 but every game the other compys are like beasts and our goalie is **bleep** no balance. Could have everything on the chart but still lose.

  • Game is definitely in a bad spot, no doubt about it, but what sort of plays do you tend to favour? What's your division and do you have a dedicated defenseman?
