It happens when the away team fills the pressure meter. Breaks immersion and is honestly pretty stupid. But that's what happens when you cater to the participation trophy Fortnite generation and not actual hockey fans. Pretty sure whoever came up with the idea has never actually been to a hockey game.

I know there are some teams that can get chants in the opposing arena (Toronto, Boston, Montreal as examples) but this is kind of odd and I do agree breaks immersion.
Here's an example of it as the Blues are the away team. It seems to happen during pressure.

this was already happening in NHL 24. It's ridiculous that it's still not fixed a year later

Yes I know that. I wanted to add another video of it but I have a feeling it's all connected to the pressure system. Could also be related to online play where it's about both players and not so much immersion.
