Appreciate the feedback.
People don't go flying in every direction every time a check is dealt out, and it is rather unusual for players to go flying through the air and landing 5 meters away after a check. The dev team seem to be rather childish and think it's really cool to see people constantly flying about... it isn't.
How far a player travels from a hit depends on how hard they're hit. It would be good to see some video examples of ones that are unrealistic to you. Of course, this is a video game and the physics aren't going to be perfect.
Not every shot hits the goalies arm and then deflects down into the goal. Im not sure why the devs seem to think this is how goals are scored.
While I've seen these happen more in 25 than previous games, I haven't seen it happen on every shot. So, it would be good to see what you're experiencing. This is why video is so crucial to these reports. All good if you can't get it. We'll keep an eye out for others reporting the same thing.
It is possible for teammates to get out of the way of a shot or to try and deflect the shot on goal. For some reason the devs feel AI players on the human controlled team should just stand in front of a shot and let it hit them, blocking the shot.
I've seen my own teammates jump over a shot many times. In the case of blocked shots they can see and react to, it would be good to have them get out of the way more. My concern is that this would just make the D 2 D one Ts we get a lot of complaints about even deadlier.
The speed of skating and passing are now oddly out of balance, players skate too fast and the passes are too slow, which means the puck often just bounces back and forth in some kind of frantic ping pong fashion. The speed the game had before this "update" was balanced... the passing speed was faster than the skating speed. I'm not sure if you were trying to react to players who felt the game was to slow, but this was a major overreaction and clearly not tested.
There were no changes in the update that would have affected this. Speed was not adjusted for the game as a whole or passing/skating. In my own play, I haven't noticed any differences. Again, we would need video showing whare you're experiencing in order to see if there are any issues or not.
Thanks again for all the feedback. Absolutely appreciate you keeping it constructive.
If you play the game as you say you do you don’t need videos to see how exaggerated a lot of the hits are. When the game replays the hits (although some of the animations are cool) a lot of them are very exaggerated. Most of them involve a player flying into the air and then landing head first onto the ice. These devastating hits occur too many times which is maybe a sign to tune down the hitting power in the game
As for the goalies. Way too many shots/pucks that go off the blocker or glove and up and in the net. Off the chest/pads yet finds a way in the net. I know these goals happen in real life but it happens way too frequently in this game and it’s so obvious to many players I’ve played with. I’ve heard so many comments from people that say they quit playing goalie because of the frequency of these crap goals. I’ve also noticed a lot less people playing goalies in drop ins. It’s so obvious what the problem is. For example in NHL 24, as primarily a drop in goalie, I had over 500 wins, 100 shutouts and a SV% of .815. So far in 25. I have over 200 wins, about 40 shutouts and a SV% of .777/8. As someone who has played goalie for several years how do you explain an almost .40 drop in SV%? I haven’t regressed, in fact I know I’m playing even better than I did last year as the year before and so on. It’s also not because of the offensive traits that have changed because they basically cancel each other out from year to year. The only conclusion is that those crap goals are happening a lot more in 25 compared to 24 and hence the .40 or so drop in my SV%. EA definitely needs to focus on fixing these crap goals (physics) for 26.
Furthermore, the highlight replays of goalies in between periods is so over exaggerated and mispicked to cater to what EA wants and/or thinks we want. I’ve seen a wide variety of awesome saves from several goalies (myself included) but what does EA choose as the highlight reply? The shot from 20 ft out where the goalie makes a glove save when it appeared to be going wide of the net anyway and the majority of the time it’s from the losing goalie that’s already let up say 3 goals on 6 shots at the time. Meanwhile I’ve made 10 saves (no goals against) on one timers, point blank shots and even breakaways (which I’ve never seen a highlight replay of).
This is all regarding EASHL.

Hello. We are aware of the frequency of shots glancing off the goalie and going in.
I'll pass on the feedback about exaggerated hits and goalie highlights. Thanks for the feedback.
