New Patch 1.6.0 Still no Fixes for Icon Passing

The interesting thing is that icon passing still works if you know what icon your teammates are. I play with the same EASHL teammates who always play the same position, so I've remembered who is what icon and those passes still work.

What's weird I've seen it said it's a 'rendering' issue in WoC- but the icons render on-screen just fine when you go into settings and re-enable icon passing. It would seem to my completely uneducated eyes that this is a matter of a non-persistent setting change that they can't quite seem to solve.

This is identical to the line change issue where you change lines in OVP and they don't persist to the next game. 

Yeah they still work without the actual visual. in 3v3 is much easier to remember who is who but in 6v6 I can understand given the additional players and the speed of the game people can not remember as easily. I think a confusing part for everyone that is used to icon passing is the colored circles under each player having no correlation to the icons (mainly for xbox controllers because standard the buttons are colorized).

Line changes are also still broken and its about to be April, very embarrassing for these devs.

Can you describe the line change issue?

I have actually seen some improvement on the line changes "issue". Previous games this was a very noticeable issue. But I am 2 years into a franchise and have played only 1 game where they should not have changed lines and I cussed at the TV. Overall, much improved in this area. Maybe it is in franchise only?

I'll answer that one. 

They don't work most of the time. Whether thats during play, after a face off or only some of the players change. 

Same goes with changing player or icon passing. Both are a hit or a miss. Try changing to a player thats just behind the opposition player. It doesn't happen. 

I haven't had issues with line changes at a face off, but on-the-fly changes have been messed up for me all year.  I'll switch to say the 2nd line on-the-fly, and the 4th line RW will come out with the 2nd line LW and C, or I'll switch to the 1st line, and get the 2nd line C and RW with the 1st line LW, etc.  Always mixed lines.

Noticed the line changes being messed up more frequently for me as well. Noticed it a lot with my D lines, I'll switch from defensive line 1 to defensive line 2 as i'm entering the offensive zone, instead of two defencemen coming off the bench in place of the previous two I have had combinations of forwards come out that aren't even on the same line originally. Not all the time this happens but when it does if it is safe I cycle through the lines back to the d line that I wanted and they usually line change properly.

I haven't paid to much attention to it though, I'm wondering if it has anything to do with stamina or if there is an automatic line change that was started at the same time or just prior to the manual change that somehow confuses the game logic. At this point anything is possible when EA is the developer and like the icon passing problems and many other issues they won't fix until NHL26, All we get told is our feedback is appreciated and it'll be passed along to the developers who only seem to care about making stupid events or adding fortnite skins to WOC and in their recent patch managed to break more stuff.
