Try these ways: 

• Don't search too long. 60-90 secs and reset;
• If the above doesn't work, everyone must to leave the matchmaking room (it must be empty before you back there). 

It works for my club. We do this everytime when an error occurs before, during or just after the game, or when the opponent leaves the matchmaking room to avoid playing, or even when one of our players gets an error or game crash just while sitting in the matchmaking room. All these mentioned things make it difficult to find an opponent after they occur and you have to reset the locker room.
