Still not a single word about the matchmaking problems and not being able to match room size?
Like for real. Such an easy problem for them to fix and make the game more enjoyable for the people who don’t have a full team
Community ManagerIf it were as easy as being assumed, it would have been done. Unfortunately, that's just not the case.
It's hard to blame people for jumping to these conclusions. Matching room size was a feature that worked for years and was unceremoniously removed for NHL 25. All attempts by the community to get an explanation as to why it was removed has been met with complete silence by EA. We still don't even know if its removal was a design decision or due to some bug that needs addressing.
The refusal to give a clear explanation as to why this feature was removed is mystifying to me and does nothing to prevent wild speculation by the user base.
Sadly, this is more common then we want to admit. As an offline player only, I get that feeling, it's how I felt after buying NHL 23 and found out that full presentation was removed and all that said was it was intended.. that was it.
That year after buying the game and thinking there would be a patch (I still think they couldn't figure out the glitch with the dynamic stats), nothing came so I ended up playing a total of 15 games the whole year on it and went back to NHL 22 until NHL 24 came out.
Now the offline community commented the whole year for NHL with threads having over 1000 comments to slowly get some form of it back in NHL 24
We'd like to know why it was removed in the first place. NO ONE asked for it to be removed. You say the devs play the game. Did not they play and notice that there was an issue?
I told all my friends that not having a beta for this years game was gonna be a disaster. Guess I was right....
If it were as easy as being assumed, it would have been done.
With zero communication surrounding a fundamental change to the way matchmaking works, that's all we can do.
