Whenever people say things like "EA is always removing things and adding them back" - these are the kinds of things they're referring to.
They also say we advertise these as new. As if they were never in the game before. When features return, they're normally different than the previous iteration. Regardless, they are also often things people requested we return so I'm not quite getting why this is so negative. Other than, it shouldn't have been removed to begin with. A lot of those legacy features didn't make the transition to the Xbox One/PS4 version. Some were added over time, some may still be added in the future. Features are added/returned based on priority. Which is also based on community feedback as well as our own vision for the game.
There's also only so much that can be done year to year. We need to be flexible with long term plans so we can react to community feedback, new technology, changes in vision, etc.

“When features return, they're normally different than the previous iteration.”
The “presentation” that was highlighted this year, as well as last year, was an insanely watered down version of what was REMOVED, so of course the reception would be negative. If you had a Lamborghini and someone took it away and gave you a Ford Focus, you wouldn’t be happy right? That’s what they did to the presentation lol

EA could have addressed a number of complaints simply by releasing a full-fledged game with the features the community requested. And it turns out that after switching to PS4 (now we see that a lot of things didn’t return and to PS5), , the game was “cut” for the user, many of the functions he needed were removed, but the user still had to pay the full price for the “cut” game.
And why be surprised by the negativity from the community?
The game has been cut since 2014. In 10 years, they haven't returned even half of the functions.
At the same time, the price for the game was always full. And the company earned on it every year, even more than before, because HUT in 2013 and HUT in 2024 are 2 big differences.
That is, the company's income from the game increased, but it cut development costs (judging by the fact that the functions never returned). Brilliant:)Moreover, users didn't ask for that much to be done.
Most of the requests concerned exactly what had been done before.
As a result, the message is the following: don't be surprised by the huge flow of negativity. People are tired of asking for the same thing year after year, but not only are they ignored, but they are also made worse (example with the presentation).
Hopefully one day EA will realize that Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings was better than Amazon's Lord of the Rings precisely because Peter interacted with the community and listened to them.
We recommend doing the same with the NHL game. - EA_Aljo5 months ago

Plenty of people had issues with Peter Jackson's LotR movies. Amazon's LotR show also doesn't have access to The Silmarillion. Which, a lot of that show is based on. Regardless, this is about our hockey game. So, moving on...
I fully realize why people are disappointed with not having full presentation. My comment previously was saying that I didn't quite understand why it was so negative to bring something back. This thread is literally about returning full presentation. If that were to return, I assume it would be a positive. Again, I totally get why people are upset about removing a feature they loved to begin with.
What people are asking for with full presentation isn't exactly the easy add that it's perceived to be. If it were, it would have been done by now. There were bigger priorities we needed to focus on.
