I hate to nitpick an addition to the game (at least they TRIED something lol) but the CG skaters posing throughout the "grudge" segment just seems... cheese. I feel like IRL footage of the specific player being talked about or just static IRL photos would have been more classy. IMO

All signs point to this game being worse than last year's which was worse than the one before that. 20 was the last playable one they put out. It's sad what video games have become, companies no longer care about a quality game, only how to suck more microtransactions out of you. They fire game developers and bring in business strategists to put ethically questionable tactics in game to suck you out of a few more bucks. The glory days of gaming are well behind us and they are never coming back.

Unless there is a setting I'm not seeing, there is no pre-game presentation again this year. It's basically "Welcome to the arena"...drop the puck. That's it.

Nope, thats it unless you watch the grudge match stuff.....

EA_AljoHello.
Please tell us, is there a chance that the full presentation will appear in NHL 25 after some patch, or will we not see it in this part of the game? - Bahamuta4 months agoNew Ace
it is gone, and wont be returning any time soon would be my guess.

I don't have any details on full presentation returning in a patch. We'll have to wait and see if that happens.

Thank you for your honest answer.
Let's hope for the best. Hope, as they say, dies last)
EA devs already done a lot of work with the faces this year, for which special THANKS. You've also done some work on the franchise (the idea of grudge-match and adding statistics for all games is very good, the introduction of additional correspondence is questionable, it's better to add a good player editor in any case)
Bring back a full-fledged presentation and a number of players, including myself, will be grateful to you and will leave this issue alone) - burner7recycle4 months agoNew Scout
Usually the “have to wait and see” is a closing statement which can usually be read as “probably not gonna happen, let’s leave it at that”
it just has to be seen as open ended (it could happen) because of politics and EA’s super secrecy of not allowing any type of information to be declassified lol
with the direction of the NHL series past few years, I doubt it’ll be back anytime soon especially considering the poor buggy performance of the game and its code that hasn’t gotten any better despite the yearly installments

The reason I say we'll have to wait and see is for multiple reasons. It's never because I'm saying it's probably not going to happen. We have to set expectations here. We can't say anything that can be taken as a promise that something is coming when there's no official confirmation. Also, there are of course times when we have a planned announcement. Such as when we're ramping up to launch and are trickling out information. I can't announce anything early so that is always a wait and see kind of situation.
When it comes to something that isn't in the current game and is a very big addition, like full presentation, that is another wait and see situation. It's entirely possible that could return at some point in the future. I would never say never when it comes to this. There is obviously a lot of interest in full presentation coming back. I'd absolutely love to see it happen. There's just nothing to report on it currently. You all are more than welcome to discuss it, but we won't be able to say definitively whether or not it's happening.
