To me, it looks like they've completely reworked the way LT-ing works. Previously, it would just turn your back towards the goalie which would make it too easy to protect the puck, draw penalties, ballerina dance, etc. It looks like LT-ing now is designed to change how you skate from side to side as opposed to just facing away from the play.
Looks good to me.
I was wondering if there would be a couple of broadcasters like the Madden or CF25 games?
Are we getting multiple broadcasters in NHL 25? | EA Forums - 4958449
From what Aljo said it is safe to say we aren't getting any broadcaster changes or additions of new people.
I understand where you're coming from, but just to clarify, I’m not a mod or affiliated with the developers. I’m just a fan sharing my thoughts and joining the conversation like everyone else. I apologize if it came across differently; I'm just passionate about the game and enjoy discussing it with the community
I'll wait and see with the gameplay deep dive to see for sure. Still, it seems a bit weird how they removed the movement option, just to rework it and add it back in as something that is new.
Sadly, for the AI part, unless there is major overhaul with it (which maybe possible with "Ice Q").. I can not see this happening (AI players don't seem to understand how to utilize the tools they have). In an offline franchise for NHL 24 (2 seasons - playing all games), I have not seen one player ever attempt "the Michigan" and maybe a handful of the other dekes at most.
This is highly inaccurate. LT'ing was stopped due to not being able to protect the puck when backskating. This caused you to turn your back to the defender and where the puck was better protected. Now, you're opening your hips and facing the net better so you have more precise lateral movement.
Yah I just read your post and you seem to very purposefully use language that makes you sound "part of the dev team". That's a bit cringe and creates confusion as to who you are and what you represent.
Man, I would totally be more excited for this game if you didn't try and force me to buy a console to play NHL.
The fact that the game can be played on PS5 and XB1 makes it all the more reason that NHL should return to PC again.
You guys could make so much more money with that, but I refuse to buy another console or gaming system just to play NHL. I really do miss playing this game.
