NHL25 franchise mode experiment 1:

Hi, I have purchased this game for decades and in my experience it seems like the games that are done on auto sim are completely random.

In 24, for example I took the Montreal Canadiens because I enjoy the franchise building part of the game and they needed a lot of help. I will probably use the CBJ this time.

In any event I decided I would just "tank" the 23/24 season since I couldn't participate in the draft or FA that season. I made some very minor changes.

They made the playoffs. Meanwhile the much better team, the winnipeg jets did not. I ended up with a #1 overall in the draft lottery due to the jets failure.

I noticed that a lot of the other teams that are clearly top teams in the NHL had sub par seasons as well. 

It seems like how good the team is has little to do with the game to game or seasonal results. 

This year I plan to start franchise mode, turn off injuries and trades and run the season 10 times in a row to see if the "good" teams get "good" results.

I would love it if anyone else wanted to participate in the experiment.
