Online Versus

I am unable to play a friend of mine online. All we want to do is play each other with regular NHL teams, like Flyers vs Panters someting like that. I am unable to move my controller or really do anything when I am in the lobby, whether I am the host or not. Is is also very difficult to even invite him. We are both on xbox. 

SOMEONE HELP US PLEASE

    Hello. You should be able to invite a friend by going to Online Versus and hitting LB. What is happening when you do this?
