Players skating path is odd again

I reported this a few NHL versions ago and the issue still exists.  When playing position lock, your players seem to have this set skating path they follow.  When in your own zone, your CPU controlled player with the puck will skate straight left towards the wall, even though there is open ice.  I've noticed this quite a bit.   It looks as if they are stuck in a scripted skating path and won't deviate from it.

The quick clip shows this issue.  The player skates right into the wall before heading up ice.  There aren't any defenders near him either.

  • Yea...not exactly the ice-Q we were hoping for.  This issue is not new either.

  • You’ll be told it’s a skill issue. The last few years of this game has just become increasingly frustrating. When playing NHL I often feel like I’m playing a glorified game of pinball. The physics of this game are just broken. They mine as well make this an arcade style game instead of a simulation. Skill or no skill this game has a plethora of issues that have been around for years. $35 bucks for this game is still a reach.

Yeah, that's not good, obviously. Thanks for the video. I'll pass it on.

If it helps, I've only seen this happen on the left side of the screen.  I have yet to see a player do it on the right side of the screen.  Oh, and I'm locked into "always up" for camera.

Yeah i have also seen this happen mostly to left side, right side is more rare. I play LD and its usually LW or RD bot. Most annoying is even if there is room to pass or skate up, the RD cuts to left side and on the boards to corner back down and stops clueless. These problems were already present in 23.
