Hey there. Can you tell me which ones aren't working correctly? Video would also help.
As far as removing them goes, we'll have to see what the future holds. Years back when we had the more static builds for everyone to choose from, we got a ton of requests for customization like there was in NHL 09 - 15. Over time, more customization was added and it seems to have been pretty well received. Is there anything else you would change or do you just want X-Factors removed?
Personally, I could live without them, but I also don't think they're unfair. I would absolutely love to see Truculence removed though. That just promotes goon-style play. It's annoying. We've had feedback saying Close Quarters is overpowered against human goalies. Some also complain that Big Tipper is overpowered. I think Big Tipper is in a good place. I don't see tips going in like they used to. Close Quarters is questionable. I might feel different if I played goalie. Still though, if you're letting someone get in that close, that's kind of on the D.
Thanks so much for the feedback. If you have any other details to add, feel free. It would be good to hear how you'd change up ability customization in WoC.

I appreciate the custom builds.. but my biggest gripe are the EA builds.. you have builds with 90 some checking and 90 some speed.. I tend to go against more EA builds than I do custom builds anymore.. gave us custom builds but then made some of the EA builds far better and having abilities we can't have and speeds we can't get to..
As far as just abilities go there are certainly tiers of effectiveness. Many are just not good/ worth putting on the build. Some need some balance work.. personally I think there just needs to be a system similar to HUT you get X amount of ability points.. if you use something like a zone CC or 1T it uses all your ability points, while something like an injury ability wouldn't use many points at all and you could potentially stack a bunch of less useful abilities.

hey there, would love to have a take on this. I do agree that x-factors are brutal when it comes to online play. My suggestion would be to disallow them for EASHL Club Play, or create a ranked game mode to where you can't use them. The game should fully base itself around how you build your characters atributes, and not have super powers controlling the pace of the game. I would love to see the game go back to a skill based game, and it would make it much better when it comes to skill gap

While I would like this, I don't think XFs are super powers. Especially, when everyone has access to them. So, the skill gap is the same as it would be without them. Someone good at scoring with XFs is going to be good at scoring without them too.

So basically what keeps happening is we have specific builds where our abilities should be working and don't do anything or our opponents use the skating glitch that hasn't been removed yet and we can't even hit them , like for instance they will score a bunch off the one tee ability even tho I'm right there and my stick is in the way , the luck just goes through my stick like it isn't there

Can you get a video of this? Just put it up somewhere it can be streamed and respond with a link. Thanks!

The x- factors are hit/miss. Not all are bad, but you can't really build out a complete player. I would expand them to 5 or 6 to make the player/avatar more well rounded or I would do it like other games where you go skill trees and they get a certain type of player depending where you put there skills. I don't mind the skill tree. The only other option is to get points and add to your player until you become a 99. Everyone starts as a 65 and you build your guy up.
