Not the exact scenario OP described, but pretty close.

Yes, that’s what I’ve been seeing. But even to the point when guys aren’t even getting a shot off. Skating into goalie and it just trickles 5 hole. It happens all of the time and some people just do it on purpose it seems.

It looks like it's possible an own goal occurred here. The puck may have deflected off the defender. I'm not saying there are no issues here. We're aware of inconsistency with goals being waived off in these situations.

Off topic, and by no means is this an attack on anybody at all, but this clip demonstrates just how horrible it is to play drop ins.
Imagine pausing the game for everyone else just to obsess over a replay of a goal that's already counted.
I can't understand how anyone in charge of the multiplayer experience still thinks that pausing the game for everyone else is somehow a necessary option to keep in this game.

Yeah, it's one of the many, many reasons I haven't played drop-ins in years.
Although, to play devil's advocate, people would have a lot less reason to pause the game to look at a replay if they had access to a replay of the full game post-match. The built-in console recordings aren't always enough, especially if you're like me and play with the overhead camera. Or if the event in question happens off-screen to a teammate behind the play.
The current system of small ( too small IMO ) clips tied to some action tracker entries plus a period at best of replay to look at just isn't enough at times. Things that I'd like to look at after the game are just lost if they don't happen at the right time.
It's not like it's a limitation of the hardware. My kid plays Fortnite and can go back and watch his last five matches in their entirety in-game. I know the budgets and team size are apples and oranges, but it's not like it's impossible.

Bang on. Couldn't agree more.
