The L2 "mohawk" skate is the new L2 backwards skate

After putting in over 8 hours on CHEL, it's clear that the L2 mohawk skating is absolute mess. It basically took the old exploited L2 backwards skating nonsense from NHL 23 and now just has the player facing you when doing so. Try to body them in any way? Slip right off the check like it's nothing. Try to poke check? One of two things happen. Either your player misses and you slow down and end up with your momentum shot... or... you jab your stick right in their feet for a penalty. Try to stick lift? Get real.

Furthermore, it allows players with ZERO energy, completely exhausted to dangle and hang onto the puck while skating around with no penalty at all. The mechanic is not implemented well at all. It's overly exploitable and makes defense almost unplayable and pointless. It doesn't "simulate" hockey in the least. Players don't do that because they can't. The defenders wouldn't allow it because they would be able to defend it, whereas in this game, the defenders are completely helpless and nerfed. It's dreadful.

And for those who say, "It's a game! It isn't supposed to be a simulation!" That doesn't excuse the fact that defending the mechanic is broken. Or that the mechanic is overpowered and needs serious nerfing for balance. It ruins gameplay on several levels.

Curious if anyone else feels the same about it.

(Note: Don't say "Get better!" either. That still doesn't explain the mechanic as being balanced and not game breaking.)
