Threes circuit co-op?

Hi guys, I just downloaded the game today as I didn’t really care for the new releases but my friend wanted to get it to replay the threes circuits like we used to in the past nhl games. Did they take away co op for the threes circuits? It used to be where I could invite them to join and play the same circuit together with 1 other bot on our team and now it seems like I can’t? Thanks for any comments on this
