Can’t apply purple XP tokens to upgrade purple xp player

Today I unlocked the goalie kocheykov in HUT    his overall can be upgraded to 88 well I have many upgrade cards, attached be low. The screenshot shows what happens when I go to apply these to the...

Simple, those are XP collectibles, you need XP tokens, they are similar but check on the card under XP, you can trade 5 Collectibles to get 1 Tokens in the XP Sets or just get higher on the XP path, there a total of 15 Tokens to max out 1 of the XP card and there a total of an 120 Collectibles.
