So I made a character and was curious if I only have until Friday to make him level 96 or if I can wait until next week, see the new players and decide then. Just want to know in advance if I need to...

The timers for the 96s are counting down to the end of the event just like the 95s, so yes, you can wait and see the week 2 MSPs before making the decision.
