I don't think I'm missing the point. I didn't answer the question because Phasto already answered it. Phasto said that the numbers are different because the objective includes normal hits (body checks) and shoulder checks whereas the in-game stat only includes normal hits. Is that not a sufficient explanation?
If you want to know why shoulder checks aren't included in the in-game stat, don't ask me. I have no idea. Someone from EA would need to explain that.
And objectives at times specify shoulder checks. So. There is a difference.
Yes, of course there is a difference. No one is saying that shoulder checks and hits are the same thing. What we are saying is that a shoulder check is a specific type of a hit. And a body check (which is what Phasto refers to with a "normal hit") is another one. You can compare this to different types of shots. There can be an objective for shoulder checks, there can be an objective for body checks, and there can be an objective for just hits which includes both body checks and shoulder checks. But for some reason that I don't know, the in-game stat for hits only includes body checks and not shoulder checks.
And even though you aren't directly asking EA to change anything, you are implying that you would like to see the in-game stat and the objective being consistent with each other. And I agree with you. I would like to see that as well. And it could be achieved by changing the in-game stat to include shoulder checks like the objectives. I don't believe you would be against that change. And I wouldn't be against it either. I think it would be a good change.
And the "doesn't sound like a big problem" and "I don't see it as a big problem" were just general comments about the issue. I know you didn't say it was a big problem or anything like that.
Do you understand it now or is something still unclear?
