EA's TOS

Hi there.

So I, recently, received a warning email from EA with regards to my team name.  Pretty funny that after well over 1000 games online that this now becomes an issue.  I'm guessing I beat someone who doesn't display sportsmanship.  I do not agree with the warning, but it has me reading over EA's terms with regards to NHL 25.

So, would the L2 half spin glitch be considered an in-game exploit, or abuse?  If those types of players are reported will they receive a warning or suspension?

It's exploiting an in-game mechanic. Technically, it's not a cheat that we're going to action accounts over. It's also defendable. Yes, it's frustrating. We all hate it. Except those that abuse it. We're well aware of it though so it's entirely possible there could be changes in NHL 26. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

  • Exploits would have been in the past using the constant goalie pull to crash games.  Using the L2 is just a cheap tactic that needs addressed.  Obviously if something isn't being addressed they are A.) Ok with how it is B.) Haven't figured out a way to fix it without hindering other things or C.)  Hoping to fixing it in the next iteration.

If it continues to be an issue in the next version of the game then you might as well just come to conclusion it isn't leaving and you better start using it like everyone else.
