You need to let the content team know that there is a huge player base that can not play Rivals because the ping makes it so that they are coming in at a disadvantage. It's like bringing a knife to a gunfight. Also how does it make sense that players get the same points for Rookie SB to Superstar when you give Div 1 and 2 players extra points? This makes no sense. Also shouldn't you get double points if I am playing 4 minutes than from 2? The math is not mathing. But please ask the dev team, what happened to play the way you want?
The big picture there is more offline players then there is online players why because offline players don’t like facing cheaters and glitchers and the last lag switchers and hackers can now even crash your internet if they are getting smoked by a person. EA forcing offline players online to play against that it’s called stress EA so if a offline player goes and plays online now and suddenly suffers a heart attack because of the stress of the game play and cheaters online and hackers. That’s why EA wants is to stress your offline paying customers. Good job EA you just showed us loyal OG paying customers you don’t care about your customers wants and needs when it comes to treatment that you just showed your offline paying customers big L EA
You’re tasked with giving out this awful news and you didn’t ask for the reason? You just blindly come in here and when people have questions you just ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ? And you give your canned response of “I’ll make sure your feedback is reported?” We’re reporting it to you. If you’re just a mouthpiece, put us in touch with someone who makes decisions.
Wow rofl, so EA doesn't even communicate with their own staff about the game they have staff working on. That's an absolute joke
Can you at least let us know if it's intentional or a mistake that we now get the same amount of XP from Squad Battles regardless of the difficulty, and that 4 minute periods give us the same amount of XP as 3 minute periods? It seems completely illogical. And if it's intentional, it would be very nice to hear the reasoning behind that change.

Beyond this, it concerns me that the community manager engaging in the HUT forums does not know the reasons for such a large and player-type targeted change. That probably means that there is either no good reason and thus you were not made aware to enable you to say you do not know or that there is little to no interest within EA to support the HUT community meaningfully (arming you with the info about changes to help us understand).
I look forward to a quick resolution of the reduction in squad battle rewards and other offline targetted reductions as the "https://www.ea.com/games/nhl/nhl-25/features/hut" page still clearly indicates EA's target idea that I bought this year's game for: "that every HUT mode rewards you the same, no matter where you play". This is huge for those who can only play a game mode that can be paused and resumed repeatedly as life dictates.
Thanks for making NHL games and for including the PWHL. I am always open and willing to talk product features as a paying customer if you want.

There was reasoning in the blog as to why this change was initially made. I also couldn't provide further comments while the team was looking into making changes that eventually went through.
Community ManagerWe had posted the reasons for the initial change in the blog. Regardless, these changes have been reverted. Hopefully, we'll do a better job of communicating changes in the future.
