Why would EA bring out a card that progresses every 20 days, and as of now takes 280 days to bring to max. Makes no sense, when new cards are brought about on a weekly basis, usually upgraded former lower rated players to higher ratings. Isnt this being somewhat bias against this one player card.

  • As for why the Daily Hat Trick cards exist, I believe they are supposed to be a reward for loyal players, similarly to the Quest for 99 cards last year. I think it's a good idea that we get a card at launch and upgrade it through out the year, but the execution is bad. I agree that it takes too many days and too many collectibles to upgrade the card, although the overalls of other cards don't go up every week like you are saying. Last year the Quest for 99 card was available on June 4th, and now the Daily Hat Trick card is only upgradeable to 95, or maybe 96, I'm not sure if that's theoretically possible yet, but at least EA has unlocked the 96 overall tier so we don't need to wait for EA to unlock it like we needed to do with some of the previous tiers. The cards are also not good enough to be a good reward for a loyal player until they are fully upgraded to 99. For example Weber's skating stats are horrible compared to his Corner Stones MSP. And there should be more than 3 players to pick from.

    The only problem is that if you play every day, you don't need Weber or Couture because they're not good enough

  • The change in 25 was a step in the wrong direction in my opinion. Having a weekly xp set like in 24 would keep more users engaged.

    A number of non gameplay changes relating to HUT25 made it less enjoyable than past years. Hopefully EA can look at feedback they are receiving and reddit and improve upon this in 26 such as:

    • Return of Prime Time cards
    • Re-add multi select set
    • Re-add storage set
    • Fix pack animations so reveal all is always available. This is quite annoying when building power ups and xfactors
    • Make a daily objectives that interest users that start throughout the entire 25 season
    • Return to end of month auto-upgrade cards/tiers. Incorporate this into all upgradeable versions including TOTY/TOTS/XFACTOR/PUI.
    • Scale back duplicate multiple MSPs of the same player. There are many other players who do not have MSPs to choose from. Sundin in 25 having a power up icon, cornerstone msp and closer msp is silly.
    • Alternative online game modes such as base players and icons like in 24, this will accommodate users that do not like 99 speed.
    • Fix the auction house filters window that constantly crashes/goes blank (primarily when manually selecting OVR. Happens frequently.
