Did making the MSP card art for the TOTS cards really take so much time that the players needed to be selected before the Trade Deadline?

Why is Rantanen on the Hurricanes? He played 13 games for them only. Why is Jack Hughes there? He's 43rd in the league and missed 20 games this season, same as last year. Pastrnak just had his 3rd straight 100pt+ season.
Also the choices for the Playoff Fantasy cards are pretty awful. The east is okay. The west is like ugh jeez. Brett Howden? Victor Arvidsson? And y'all just released an 88 Moments Nelson, and a Milestone Lowry.
Why aren't any PWHL cards upgrading? Hockey is not for everyone anymore?
Not to mention the 3 straight weeks of different Sakic ans Lindros cards. Lidstrom stuck at 90. Hologram Icons getting no love.
I have 700 cards in my collection and I want to build someone but this biggest issue in the game is that there is NO consistent upgrade schedule. Why should I make anyone now.
No Pastrnak might be the worst decision ever made by this content team
Pastrnak was not in the Top9 Forwards when the TotS Masters were chosen (Jan. 20)
Really glad you guys decided to make FH cards for the playoffs, that's the type of stuff that makes it more fun to play this game. Now I'll get to follow the playoffs even more closely!
It seems like the TOTS players were selected in late January as mentioned by Phasto. Why did they need to be selected almost 3 months before the end of the regular season?
Yeah we know that some time was needed for making the MSP card art, but almost 3 months? That sounds absurd.
Moreover, Martin Necas was traded to the Avs on January 25th and you were able to release his Warp Speed MSP as an Avs card on March 7th. So why did you need so much more time for the TOTS cards that the players needed to be selected in January when they were going to be released in April? And why were you not able to release TOTS Rantanen as a Stars card on April 17th when he was traded to the Stars on March 7th?
I really hope we can get an explanation for these things.
That sucks. And its a bad look for HUT.
