I think there has to be a player from the opposing team close enough to either the passer, receiver or the path of the puck for it to count. In the offensive zone that will almost always be the case, which is why they count more often. If you are playing in Squad Battles you can pass D to D in the offensive zone since the AI will usually be close enough but not in the passing lane.
Yeah. I get your drift regarding being in the offensive zone. You may be right about that. But I'm perplexed at the lucidity that the objective is vague in the meaning of passing. It should not be restricted to a certain part of the ice. Thanks for the feedback. Appreciated
