Why has this just turned back into NHL StraightLining 24

You guys have successfully tuned the AI back to the same incompetent pilons as before and online is just back to straight lining down the wing and skating in circles. You guys to need to patch in the...

The game is in such a terrible state right now. Hitting is nerfed into the ground it's so boring to play. Skate into their zone and spin around non stop because I can't be hit and force a One Tee. Fun times. Tripping penalties is so frequent because spamming pokes is the only defense option, that and block shots.
