Last edition I complimented EA on doing 1st goal wins. Now this week they go and change it completely. 2 goals to win. And instead of getting collectables to use as before. We are dealt with XP, Icon, and team building cards. Those I guess are fine, if one is still building players in those categories. If not. Whats the sense of going through it.
I agree that 1st goal wins would be better than 2 goals to win, but it's not a huge change. We can still complete a game in significantly less than 3 minutes unlike before the Closers event.
And in the big picture we are not getting the X-Factor, Icon and TB cards instead of collectibles. We have double the amount of collectibles in objectives compared to the Closers event, so we are getting just as many collectibles as we got in the Closers event, and on top of that we have the X-Factor, Icon and TB cards in Wildcard. Whether those cards are useful is a different question, but even if they aren't useful, they are still extra stuff on top of what we normally get.
If you don't need the X-Factor, Icon and TB cards, you can just ignore Wildcard this week and focus on the objectives and get just as many collectibles as in the Closers event.
Somehow I kind of expressed that in the comment. About it not being useful to ones not building those player cards. That was my point!
