There's a couple of things here. First, you lost the faceoff. Winning would have not let this happen. Also, you paused for a moment when you lost in stead of quickly switching to a D man.

This one's a bit tougher. They've pretty much got you beat. You possibly could have stopped this with a diving poke check at the :10 mark. They probably would have skated into your stick and potentially have broken this up.
What about this makes you feel the game is focused on individual play? These are both situations where your opponent got a breakaway. It doesn't make a lot of sense to pass when they've got an excellent scoring chance.
Point shots are almost completely blocked. Shooting from the blue line is practically useless.
Passing and combination play are extremely ineffective. Too many passes get intercepted or blocked.
Defenders are incapable of taking the puck away. Poke checks and physical contact are ineffective.
The game is becoming more and more about individual rushes. Just skate past everyone and score. Teamwork, passing, and tactical hockey are disappearing.
You've made goalies worse, but that's not the real problem. You need to fix the core gameplay mechanics instead of simply making it easier to score.

I've seen quite a few complaints about scoring from the points. Regardless, it's defenders are there to block shots. You need to use them as a screen and aim around them. If there's too much traffic, it means other areas of the ice are open.

Look for the open lanes. If a pass is getting blocked or intercepted, it's not a good option for a pass. Find open players and pull defenders away from the front of the net. If you're always looking for cross-crease one Ts, you're going to need to try to open that up more.

I pretty much exclusively play defense. I use poke checks, hits and incidental contact very frequently to knock the puck loose. If you have video showing these aren't working when they should be, please get it posted so we can see if there are any issues.

Team play is still a very viable way to score. Adjust your strategies to counter your opponent as well as support your playstyle. There is always someone open to pass to. Move the puck around and pull opposing players out of position to open up more passing lanes.
