Can you go ahead and download and install both the x86 and x64 components of the following package and then try your games again.

been trying for four days, and ive tried on two different computers. Origin says every time MSVCP140.dll is missing, i have used your link and followed the steps, i have done everything accordingly. i can download many other things but origin still wont work. i hope you can help me, i really want to play sims. if you have any other tips please let me know

Oh my god, thank you so much for this, I've been researching and trying everything since this morning (its 10:30 pm)
The computer had to update which completely messed it up, so i tried resetting my whole computer which took all day THEN it still wouldnt work until now 🙂

The main solution, or the troubleshoot compatibility one?
The issue is with EA and Origin! You guys need to take responsibility for your issue. Look at what proper game distribution software does: Steam installs VC Runtime automatically to make sure that the software's dependencies are correctly installed instead of shifting blame to the end-user. PLEASE FIX YOUR CRAP, the issue isn't with our computers, the issue is with Origin. FIX IT.
