Re: Stuck on Finalizing with the Sims 4

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Latest
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? None, it's stuck on installing the base game.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? How should I know?
What happens when the bug occurs? I can't install the game, it reaches 100%, then asks me to install it again.
What do you expect to see? The game installed?
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I've noticed that this issue has come up in the past and I've looked at all the solutions offered by other people, nothing seems to work. I recently uninstalled my Sims 4 because I felt like playing Sims 3 again and I needed extra space to install it. Yesterday, I tried reinstalling Sims 4, it reached 100, said it was finalizing, then asked me to install the game again. I've checked to make sure there was enough space and there was. I've tried the following:

- uninstalled and reinstalled origin

- ran the app as administrator

- I tried removing the temp files and appdata files but could not remove the OriginWebHelperService log even though I'd turned it off from the Origin app beforehand

- I tried creating exceptions in firewall for Origin

I feel like I'm losing my mind, because I've been trying to fix this for the past two days.
