- @EA_Darko Thank you very much. As i read online we are not the only one ones who asks for this feature. This would be such a nice thing from EA, plus i don't think there is people who will buy again the same game twice.
It would not be a bad idea for origin game owners to get games on steam.
First of all, I don’t think too many people will spend money to buy a game second time just becuz they want to start the game from Steam
Secondly, in some countries and regions (especially China), the download and update speed on steam is much faster than the origin (even modifying hosts or using VPN)If it’s possibly to use the steam server, the experience will be better for users and will also bring more praise
- @EA_Darko will it be possible??
They have already removed BF Hard-line from the Brazilian Steam store ☹️
yes its tru all we want is to heve all games on the same library in this case steam wer dont care if we need origin on the back to run, its simple enouph for EA to do that.
This is ridiculous. There is no excuse for this AT ALL! These games launch through Origin EVEN FROM STEAM, SO WHY DO WE HAVE TO BUY THEM AGAIN! That is unacceptable and a terribly scummy business plan. I must say this very disappointing.
i bought all the sims packs and other stuff you name it i got it all on origin and lately the origin app is giving me so much trouble im like omg and now that they announced that sims are on steam im wishing and hoping they will do something to transfer the games cus boy i aint buying it all again im really tired of origin app
You should really make that a feature.
- @EA_Darko Any news on how is this feedback going? It's not like we are all going to buy our games twice on Steam, and for a company with such a bad public image as EA this would be an easy score...
Please, we need that. We would like to have the possibility to import our Origin library into our Steam profile. EA said that you were going to listen to our ideas, so there you have!
Not sure about you guys, but this lack of decision making is detrimental to business imo. I would like most of my games to run from Steam and find it a nuisance to have three (four in August) game launchers!
...and now, I'm going to sit tight and wait for a formal decision before purchasing any expansions for my EA games...
- @MezTheDanger I bought Titanfall 2 on Steam because I wanted to be able to launch it through Steam with EA or Origin being involved at all. But when I try to launch it on Steam, it opens Origin anyway. And it won't let me launch it because I uninstalled it on Origin. That was the whole point of buying it on Steam is because I wanted to launch it without Origin.
- Unfortunately this happens with a lot of games. It doesn't make sense at all, we should just link our account once and then we should be ready to go. But at least we must have the possibility of transfer our purchase to Steam, just to don't have to buy the same game again.
thats really bad
i now need to buy titanfall 2 where should i buy it steam or originthey have to allow us to transfere it from origin to steam
Hey I did the same thing but I already owned the game on Origin and wanted to see what would happen if I bought the game again on Steam. So apparently it replaces the game you already had on Origin with the Steam version. You keep all your progress and everything on the game but I decided I'm requesting a refund because I don't want the Steam version and will just stick with the Origin version. Waiting for Steam support to respond to my refund request. Did you own the game too on Origin already before buying the Steam version?
I was expecting the same thing - games to be playable via Steam. IMO EA should just throw Origin out the window completely, cut the costs and sign an exclusive deal with Steam because they have so many games. And just let Steam manage my EA games library because Steam does it better in every way.
yeah I honestly have a ton of games on origin that I'd like to play, but with windows updates and such, it no longer is compatible. Not allowing me to play any of the games, due to FPS issues cause of the blue tooth wireless issue, and the 100% CPU usage bug on battlefields.
As far as I heard, steam helps with this. So instead having to repurchase the games, give us codes to re-enter, or allow transferring of already owned goods.
- We should at least have a discount for steam.. the steam migration imho indicates that sooner or later origin will be dismissed and our games will be gone.. that’s not fair ea
- Thank you for your work, I also hope that EA can transfer all the games in Origin to users for free on Steam (including game save) because origin is difficult to use, and There are many steam games and more users. EA should completely abandon the Origin platform to reach cooperation with Steam.
Origin is by far the worst game launcher ever ,such a * program keeps crashing after a Year and countless Updates, Ea just scrap origin im sure a bunch of chimpanzees can write a better program than what origin currently is , Move over to steam nobody likes origin Nobody
Totally agree with you guys. But I'm pretty sure this move is the first step in abandoning origin at all. I really hope to be able to play my games on steam anytime soon. It doesn't make sense. We are not asking for free games, we are just asking for the games we bought from EA. That's really not fair!!
- @EA_Darko Don’t necessarily want to move my origin games, just want to link accounts and have full steam access, surely you can do that for us. Love origin sales and oft buy on origin but play using steam client so my collection is in one place. The fragmentation of all these store fronts and clients is not consumer friendly and you will gain gamer good will by allowing us access to our games within steam.

Hey @SC00BY225 and others, we will pass your feedback on to the team.
Darko If EA can't give us Steam Achievements, we would be really glad to be able to link our already purshased Origin titles to out Steam library.
- @rosefildo i don't really care about the achievements. It's just gonna be one more thing that EA can use as an excuse to not link accounts. After all you can get them by playing the game. Not a big of deal
