Pvz Heroes crashes on startup

For a few weeks now when I try to play pvz Heroes the game freezes on the first screen. I first tried clearing the cache, then also the game data but the problem persists. I contacted Google support who made me remove and then re-enter my Google account from my smartphone and it worked, but after a few days everything went back to the way it was before and I can no longer log in. my smartphone is a Google pixel 7a.
