Cannot Load Into Skate.

When I go to launch Skate. on Steam, the game opens no problem, then I get to the screen after the initial launch screen, and it says "Loading". Although, no matter how much time I wait, the game doesn't load me in. I've tried to restart my computer and all. This only started happening when the new season came out. Any ideas? Thanks.
