Sims4 takes data from onedrive only

I recently realized that sim4 apparently saves all scores on my onedrive. I have never set something like that. I then saved the file in my documents under electronic arts. After that, my complete score was gone. after I informed myself, I saved the file from sims4 on my data under Steam (where all the other games are also located). Nevertheless, my save is gone and mods don't work either. I am about to give up. I dont know which data the game uses anymore. why does it only seem to work if i have the data on my onedrive? I cant chance anything directly in the application so how do i set it to take the infos from the steam document? I cant let my onedrive be used by EA for games, its for study only.
