Some Minor Issues in the Spanish Translation of the Game

I play The Sims 4 using the Spanish translation of the game. Although there are some translations that will of course seem odd to some players because of regional differences (and the fact that the Spanish translation uses language typically used in Spain), some of the translations seem to be plainly incorrect.

The first example I will present here is the translation of the fruit "plantain", which depending on the region and the specific type of plantain we are referring to, can be translated to "plátano", "plátano grande", "plátano macho", etc.

In the game, however, the translation that is given is "llantén". This, according to image shown, is not the correct word that the game should use. ¨Llantén" can, in fact, be translated to "plantain" in English, but it refers to the medicinal herb, not the fruit.

Another mistake in the game's translation to Spanish comes from the "Lessons" (Spanish: "Lecciones") section in the pause menu.

In English, there are different categories of lessons that you can browse through, most of which are organized and titled by their respective DLC pack. Two of the headings in Spanish, however, do not reflect the title of the packs in Spanish.

In Spanish, the "Dine Out" Game Pack is called "Escapada Gourmet", which can be translated to "Gourmet Getaway" in English. The title that is provided in the lessons list, though, is "Comer Fuera", which is just a literal translation of the words "Dine Out".

The same issue is seen with the lesson heading for "Parenthood", which in Spanish is called "Papás y Mamás" in Spanish. The literal translation of this is "Moms and Dads" in English. The lesson title, however, says "Paternidad", which once again is just a literal translation of the word "Parenthood".

These are, of course, just minor text issues, but they should be corrected nonetheless.
