My problem is not just broken Custom Content; the core game functionality seems corrupted.

I cannot start a New Game: After creating a (CAS), pressing the button to save and play does nothing. The game freezes and will not proceed to the world selection or household placement screen.

Previous Saves are Trapped: I am able to load into my previous save files. However, I cannot save my progress in any of them. The save function fails or hangs.

I have already attempted a full factory reset of the user data. I completely deleted the "The Sims 4" folder from my Documents > Electronic Arts directory (and emptied the Mods folder). Despite this, the issue persists.

Game Now Won't Launch: After these attempts, the situation has worsened. The game now fails to launch entirely. I cannot even reach the main menu to attempt to start a new game or adjust settings.
