this is what happens when i'm home sick... any suggestions on the top corner would be most appreciated :D
I'm totally design challenged when it comes to layout ... Anyone who has seen my main town knows that, for years now, I haven't figured out where to put some of the streets to access some of my buildings.
I assume you mean the area near the tunnel entrance? That's the only area you don't have laid-out streets. Here are a few things I would try ... I would want to remove the bulky nuclear plant from that half of your town. That will "open up" the area visually.
Exchange your Control Building with your Lard Lad. Put the towers up in that (current Lard Lad) area too. It may mean that you have to remove that small section of street that currently is immediately in front of Lard Lad.
You may need to put the reactor core (not the towers) in storage, but the core serves no purpose, and you can bring it back out when you have more land.
Now you would have Lard Lads down in your town area, (between Krusty Burger and the library, or therabouts). and it should be a lot easier to design a road pattern with a donut shop than with a nuclear plant. Visually, Lard Lads would not block out or crowd that area. And you could have roads for laying out your building's in that area you're trying to work on. Instead of needing to dead-end that road that currently is running into the control building/reactorcore, you'll be able to move around shops down there, and arrange your sports area.
I, like, totally don't know if that would make your life easier or harder. But its what I would do. Then I'd throw my hands up in the air, and think "so now what?" And go watch Fawlty Towers for a while. :)
