Well now it's gotten even weirder. I was playing my games over in my recliner while we watched TV and noticed that I'd stopped getting FP from friend visits. I tried the usual glitch fixes (short of re-installing) and nothing worked. So I said 'Oh well' and just went on with tapping and watching TV.
We got done with TV for the evening and I moved back to my desk... And started getting FP again.
Oh, and this is two separate games on two separated devices. And it's not because they were running on battery, because I have an extension cord by my recliner so I can stay charged up (you never know when the power is going to go off out here in the boonies - with no power and no charge on my devices there's NOTHING to do out here except sit in the dark).
