I've collected quite a few good items along with over 40 sections of fence, 4 ponds, 5 beach towels, 4 trees, 5 egg piles etc. I've finished the quest, and I still have all my egg collecting characters working on eggs. I trade my blue (common) eggs in at my neighbors towns in exchange for pink ones, as I don't have the two lizards, and would rather have a chance at 300 gold eggs than 100.
This morning I collected and traded for enough pink eggs to buy a box. I got 300 gold eggs...which, added to the gold eggs I already had, gave me enough for a gold box. I was hoping for Hugs Bunny or Shari, but instead got 250 pink eggs. All that work for less than half of what I started with.
The folks at EA are out of touch with the players. I wonder if any of the people who come up with these schemes actually play the game, as part of their job? It's obvious they don't, otherwise, we wouldn't be complaining about the garbage they call "prizes". It's akin to a chef not tasting his food. For all the effort that went into programming the different color eggs, they could have given us ONE type of eggs and set up personal prizes, community prizes and an egg store that would let us buy decorations we wanted. It could have saved hours of programming time and made the players a lot happier.
I agree with you.
Have the same problem like you. Got 1000 pink eggs. Exchange them to 500 blue eggs, to get 300 golden eggs. From 4 blue boxes, I won 1 egg piles, 1 easter fence, 1 easter pond and 250! pink eggs.
And if I got the second 300 golden eggs, I got pastel fences, easter gates or 250 pink eggs.
