THE TITLE OF YOUR THREAD states " the REAL Springfield". Then you refer to the guide. This implies the guide design is real and accurate, when in fact it is not. I assumed nothing and read what you wrote.

If I am being called out (which you did since you quoted me and then began to talk negatively about what I posted), then I will defend my statements accordingly. I feel you are making unfair assumptions, so I am calling them out.

You are right that I used the word "real" in the title, and I agree it was not the right word. But I never implied REAL Springfield, like all other versions are wrong, as YOU are implying I said with your all caps "REAL". You ARE assuming that I think the map is canon, or you wouldn't have posted. Here is what I know: you are angry for some unknown reason that people follow this map. So much that you decided to post about it. You could have put out a thoughtful rebuttal like the poster below your first comment did and you can see I agreed with him. I just disagree with your assumptions and replied. I guess we can agree to disagree.

What's with all this assumption talk? I didn't have to assume anything, because i just read the words you wrote and disagreed with what it said.

I also didn't think i was calling anyone out to anywhere. So i don't know why you're defending anything. And since you did change your title, removing the word REAL, it seems we DO agree.

My whole point, when i reply to threads exactly like yours, which have come up more than once and may come again, is that the Guide to which you refer to, has no official map penned by Matt G, and that the website map created "following the SF Guide" is also not penned by Matt G.

That's all.

If anyone wants to follow it, as Bravewall and many others have for years, that's great! It's very cool to attempt to follow any trail blazed by a previous pioneer and Simpsons fan.

But i don't like posts that contribute to the misconception that the map was penned by Matt G, especially on this forum where many people are looking for inspiration for their towns. Stating it was the real SF just isn't right, and that's why title is different now. Sorry we had to go in circles to reach the same point, but people love arguing with me here and i figure you're just another one looking to defend your hill when we're actually on the same level field. Happens all the time.
