Christmas Event gingerbread mansion

And at what point were we told that the gingerbread mansion would only be upgradeable in act 1? This was never made clear and I am very annoyed about this. The personal prizes were limited - I got all 5; the crafting prizes were limited - I crafted the ones I wanted. The weekly challenges were limited - i completed all of them!

My problem is not with the gingerbread house being limited it is the fact we were not informed of this! Therefore we could not make an informed decision therefore some of us missed out as we did not manage our time appropriately due to misinformation!
