Yeah they messed up by a day same with giving Black Friday on a Thursday.

This is actually a pretty common programming error. You want to have a timed thing start at midnight of a certain date like the 24th, so the programmer puts in the 24th at 00:00:00 (midnight in programming time). So at midnight on the 23rd the computer says (not literally) "Ok, it's 00:00:00 and it's the 24th so I'll start this timed event."
To program this sort of thing correctly you have to work around it by doing something like setting the date as the 25, but then you have to hope some idiotvisor doesn't see that and change the date to the 24th...

Wait a second, that doesn't sound right. The 24th starts at 00:00:00 and ends at 23:59:59 there should be no confusion. This should be more than common knowledge, like knowing the alphabet.

Maybe what @wadebear is trying to say (correct me if I'm wrong) is that it was programmed to start at midnight (24:00:00) on the night of the 23rd, which is actually 00:00:00 on the 24th. However, the computer would have converted 24:00:00 to 00:00:00 without changing the date, so that it happened at 00:00:00 on the 23rd.

Still doesn't excuse sloppy programming it that's the case...

I had a non-exhaustive look around my town and couldn't find it. Yeah, surprisingly I didn't have one either, so bought it, too.

So do computers even accept 24:00:00 as input? If they do, yes, that's a major problem.

I'd think so, can't test it right now but suspect 23rd 24:00:00 would equal 24th 00:00:00

Just tried it with Excel and it, at least, was able to convert 23/11/2017 24:00:00 to 24/11/2017 12:00 a.m. ( I realize this isn't a definitive test, but all I have at hand at the moment.)

So maybe someone just read their calendar wrong. :|
