Don't worry. You can start buying with future bucks at the early levels. Once you've purchased the maximum of any one item with robot parts, then you can buy the same item but with future bucks.

For example: I think the first 12 holo-flowers require robot parts and count toward your leveling-up. But after those 12, you can only purchase the holo-flowers with future bucks. (NOTE: But when you DO purchase an item with future-bucks, you do not add to your level-up steps for that purchase. ) (Did that make any sense? )
