Fact is this crashing issue exists and has existed for quite some time now. My friends (real life friends) and I have various devices on both ios and android and ALL of our towns are plagued with crashing issues. Most times it is every 3-4 minutes of taps or visiting neighbors or going to Krustyland and then crash-reload-can't connect- load-crash-repeat. We have endured this since the level 42 update EVERY SINGLE DAY as has innumerable players across all platforms. I have 12 real life friends that play TSTO daily. Counting myself, we have 18 total accounts (towns). Of the 13 of us, 9 devices are ios of varying type, processor, storage, etc. Guess what? None of them, work any better/crash any less, than the rest of the android devices. Some of us play on multiple devices and no matter which one, crash. There is one exception to this. 1 of our friends has been playing a lot longer than the rest of us and seems to be immune to the problem. Btw he has been playing on android since day one. As for the rest of us we all pretty much started playing TSTO as far back as June/July 2013-current. We all joined at various times but none newer than Xmas 2013 including our alt. accounts. Seems to me that it is affecting accounts not devices. I started playing Sept 2013. I regular play on my galaxy note 2 on Verizon using 4g LTE, or at home, my TWC turbo internet on Wi-Fi using a fairly up to date router. Between my wife and I we have 2 laptops, a newer iPod, a 4th gen iPad, 2 older but useful laptops, a surface tab2, nex7 and my wife has an iPhone 5. As you can gather we're loyal to no one. I have tried every combo with all 3 of my accounts that I created on or after Sept 2013 but no later than Dec 2013 and none work any better, crash any less on ANY OF THE 5 devices that I can play TSTO on...
Felt like I had to get this off my chest after reading a reply in a now locked topic about Dave quitting TSTO. The reply drew a similar conclusion as mine. Maybe just a coincidence? Doubt it. This is ultimately EA's responsibility and it has gone on too long unaddressed, and unapologetic. At the very least we deserve to be acknowledged and informed of any progress or lack there of. This is a much much bigger problem than a simple hardware compatibility nonsense excuse. I just hope that when they do figure it out that they don't find that personal data like credit card info and passwords some how got hacked, stolen, lost or whatever because some code writer left something unsecure when working on some patch that only affects accounts created on or after a certain date.
Bottom line: EA & GOOGLE, I HAVE GIVEN YOU A LOT OF MY REAL MONEY. I'VE FILLED OUT THE STUPID FEEDBACK FORM. YOU HAVE MY DATA. FIX IT OR PAY ME. THIS HAS GONE ON TOO LONG.
