Forum Discussion
- Sometimes, plans change, for business reasons, creative reasons, or executive decision reasons. Think of unreleased content as potential future content. Something that may not be used now can always be used later. The artwork was already done, so it won't cost any more resources than what was already spent. If you read LPN's detailed notes, sometimes it will mention content for the current event that appeared in the game files several months back.
- Also a certain robot living in the Simpsons basement. COULD MAKE A GREAT EVENT guys.
- how can you read what is in the files?

There are certain individuals who have access to information that most of us don't but discussing the methods used would be a breach of the forum rules so I can't help with your question in detail.hbird999 wrote:

When you install the game for the first time, it downloads 600 to 700 MB of data to your device, those are the game files. It contains the dialogue text, images for all the characters, buildings, and animations, but not all of it is used. They exist on your device, and they have to be pulled down from somewhere, so you have 2 places to look. If you are using an Apple device, it may be harder to get access to your device's files. I'm not allowed to give you any more details on the forum, but the information is openly available if you do a Google search.devilhunt1449 wrote:

Everybody has access to the information, but not everybody has the time, resources, desire, or ability to interpret that information. LPN is somebody that has all 4, kudos to LPN. A lot of us would be lost without his guides during events.- thank you guys - and LPN does rock!!
- I would assume that at this point they have enough unrealized content to make a yard sale into a full blown event.

Programs are like books. If you know how to access the content, you can read like you would any book. Generally speaking that's not allowed, unless it's open source programs, but that never stops anyone. Granted it's generally not allowed out of fears of reverse engineering from what I understand, but in this case they don't want people spoiling the game for others. AJtheboss1 wrote:

Honestly there's not as much as you'd think. Most of it are icons, tasks, quests, sound files and decorations and buildings that either have only or don't have a winter counterpart.
Checking that certain webpage, I counted about 16 decs and 8 buildingsBlackFloppyDisk wrote:

Here Here to LPN, was his guides that explained a ton of things I didn't realize.
Reverse engineering the game engine is the big problem. I helped with game design a Long time ago and one of the game engine designs was stolen and used in another game, really screwed the devs over and back then there wasn't the big game companies to fight the legal proprietary fights so very protective of files. I totally understand and respect that and am very glad this forum works rally hard to protect the game content.
Thanks guys and gals
