(I guess I'd better mention that Pearl Jam will be playing in Chicago at Wrigley Field in July...I guess I have at least one plan for the summer!)
While I cannot stand Pearl Jam an Senor Vedder voice sends glass shard prickles down my spine upon hearing that bellowing screech...does the above imply you live in or around Chicago as I do or would just make the trek to the city to ruin your ears at such an event? And I do jest, I do not care who people listen too, they just never hit a chord with me.
I use to live in Chicago for a time, now I'm downstate in between Chicago, *. Louis, Indy. You can take pleasure in knowing that I've been tortured by Sonic Youth about 10 times...they've opened for pearl jam WAY TOO MANY times. Eddie is a compassionate man; he takes pity on those with significantly less talent. Note; I'm not an "Eddie is god" person. I wish he'd shut up at times, and I would never listen to his solo ukulele project. I know many people who hate his voice, and I intentionally play the worst sounding PJ vocals to annoy them.
Mdfriend--is that Liszt as in the composer? I'm a big fan of classical piano as well.
Ah, touche on the Sonic Youth jab. Shame on you using the word s.aint!
I do agree that while I cannot stand his voice, and he can be quite full of himself, he overall is a compassionate person, and I always respected their fight with Ticketmaster.
Yes, that Liszt is the composer, just love his work. Love classical, Rossini I know I mentioned is another favorite. Those two get good rotation on the iPod. I have to admit that I am a sucker for the harpsichord
