Finding fans in friends towns

Does anyone else find it hard as hell to find the fans in your friends towns ? It takes FOREVER to find them at get through my friends list. Is it worth the time ? I have also noticed that it seems like a lot of people really skipping the friends towns,I have over friends, and I am lucky if 1 or 2 seem to visit mine and drop lawyers ??
