I suspect the problem is triggered by something else. Perhaps spending donuts (accidental speed-up, limited time building, etc) or buying a certain plot of land in the Heights. Possibly even friend visits, considering how glitchy those have been. I'm avoiding spending any donuts or buying to much land in the Heights, especially by the far mountains. Also haven't been visiting neighbors. Sorry, neighbors. I want to visit, believe me. I'm also avoiding moving the buildings, just in case that is indeed the problem

(Btw, there are probably people who have spent donuts and not lost additional donuts, etc, but I'm more interested in whether anyone has lost donuts without spending any or without buying land near the mountains.)

Thanks, for the clarification, I thought I missed a major breakthrough regarding this problem.

It probably won't be much help but I have bought almost all the SH land and have moved multiple building from Springfield to SH and have yet to lose donuts (although there was a few hours where i had zero donuts)

Me too and I've played nearly every day since summer 2013. This is the first time I've avoided playing out of choice. Guess I'm just jaded so don't care as much as I used to.

I have a grand total of 7 donuts. 7. I dare EA to touch those 7 donuts.

But I did cross through the tunnel after the forced update on Friday and started on the Heights. No donuts lost, even after I brought over an item or two from my town into the Heights. but I am NOT buying any donuts until the glitch is fixed. So that means no premiums - even though I tend to buy them. After a long, premium-filled event and now even more premiums to buy, I do not feel the need to purchase any more for a while (or until EA gets their act together about rushing out events or new expansions after a long event).

I spent them and then a few hours later got bonus donuts for levelling up :D

maybe I'm just lucky too - no lost donuts so far. This is an official guess, but I wonder if even though we have no official patch or word on the glitch if the tinkering EA's done on their end has minimized the glitch? The only thing I have not done is move anything between SH and SF and I have bought all the land that does not cost Pills, Oscars and Yoga mats as they take longer to accumulate and you need a lot of them to level up. I have sped up task or two, and bought 4 premium buildings.

If they have done something to minimize it then it would be nice if they would let us know... Some people are not going to open their games until they have word that the glitch has been addressed (I am among those people - I know I would love some sort of announcement from EA - and, seeing as you and the other mods have been trying to work with them so that you could provide us with at least some info, I truly hope they would communicate any progress to you guys...)

That's why I keep a low balance of donuts and I just buy items as I need them.
