I need money, so I just leave a bunch of brown houses for neighbors. During the day it works because I login about every 4 hours and the houses are never filled with handshakes. During the night I can't tap the other buildings so my neighbors can tap them aswell. I think it works perfectly.
And I keep visiting everyone between events aswell because FREE DONUTS.
